Welcome to LotteryGen UK Lotto statistics

Here you'll find statistics about the UK National Lottery "Lotto" draw only. Many UK National Newspapers watch the U.K lottery on the basis that bonus balls are not as important as the main balls statistically. Some websites also take this view. LotteryGen takes the alternative and commonsense view that statistically speaking, all the balls are of equal importance, so ball counts on this site reflect this difference. Why?
This site presents a quick reference, mainly by using charts. They may take a little longer to load than tables, but you'll assimilate the information quicker. Some statistics shown here are unique to this site. You should read the Disclaimer first.

You can find out more about lottery analysis, tips and systems in our new forum! You can ask your questions and share your views. There will be more statistics to see there. If you have a system you'd like to share come and talk about it. It's Free and its ours. Its OurLottoForum !

Useful Lotto facts

Did you know that on average, 8 new (never seen before) £10 winning combinations of 3 are created each draw ?

Three or more of the same colour happen in the main balls on average every 2.48 draws

Exactly 2 of the same colour happens just as often as exactly 2 of one colour and exactly 2 of another? On average every 2.58 draws.

At least 1 ball repeats to the next draw on average every 1.8 draws !

At least one rising adjacent ball (one more than in the previous draw) happens in 55% of all draws, as does a falling adjacent. 30% of all draws have both types of adjacent. This means that 80% of all draws have at least one adjacent. A draw with no adjacent happens on average every five draws.

Some people believe that digital ending analysis (looking at the second digit of each drawn ball) may help choosing in the future. Example:- balls 13 and 43 both have a digital ending of 3. See adjacent panel for odds of certain endings based on past performance.

Two consecutive numbers (doublets) appear on average in half of all the draws.
